PHotoEspaña, International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts, is pleased to announce the call for entries for the Best Photography Book of the Year Award 2019. This award recognizes the most outstanding photographic editorial works of the year.
The call for entries for this edition of the Festival will be open until April 1, 2019. Artists and publishers of all nationalities may present their books published between March 1, 2018, and March 1, 2019.
The Best Photography Book of the Year Award recognizes editorial works presented in the following categories:
Best National Photography Book of the Year
Best International Photography Book of the Year
Best Self-Published Photography Book
Outstanding Publisher of the Year
During the month of April, 2019, a pre-selection committee formed by professionals in the publishing sector will select the finalists that will be exhibited at the Biblioteca Nacional de España in Madrid. The shortlist will be announced during the month of May on www.phe.es
The committee of experts that will select the books to be awarded in each of the mentioned categories will be announced during the call for entries.
To participate, all applicants must fill out a registration form below. After the online registration has been completed, applicants must print out the registration form that will be sent to their email and mail it together with two copies of each publication to the following address:

The reception of books is open until April 1, 2019. All shipments made up until the final day of the call for entries will be accepted. Participants must assume the shipping fees to have publications delivered to the indicated address.
The books selected for the exhibition at the Biblioteca Nacional will not be returned. The books that are not selected can be picked up at the PHotoESPAÑA offices, beginning from the time in which the finalists are announced until June 27, 2019. After that time, the publications will be sent to libraries and cultural centres to form part of their collections.
