Discoveries PHE is the professional meeting for photographers that PHotoESPAÑA carries out in each of its editions. On this occasion, it will be held both online (closed call) and in person during the days September 16 and 17, 2021 at the Alcobendas Art Center.
Activity offers the possibility to selected artists to have individual appointments with national and international experts, in order to create a space where photographers can:

How to participate?
* Registration will be the same for both formats
-Fill in the registration form, in all its fields.
-Upload the photographs, up to a maximum of 15, in jpg format (700px on its shortest side and a maximum of 300kb).
-There are no restrictions on technique, theme or year.
-We recommend that the photographs belong to the same series.
-It is required to pay the pre-registration fee (10 euros), non-refundable, following the steps in the newsletter.
IMPORTANT: When registering, participants must select in the form itself the type of format, between online and in person, to which they wish to register, taking into account that the viewers, the deadlines and the dates of the activity vary depending on the selected format.

Selection
A jury will select the participants, a maximum of 60, and a waiting list.
The organization will communicate the result of the selection by email. The list can be consulted on the PHotoEspaña website.
Registration for PHE Discoveries online and in person
The photographers who have been selected will receive a second communication with directions for:
- Pay the registration fee (240 euros), non-refundable, before April 23, 2021.
- Send a selection of 10 preferences from the list of viewers; Appointments will be arranged with at least 3 of those chosen.
- Each person will have a total of six appointments.
Portfolio viewing
Each appointment will last 20 minutes, they will be organized with strict punctuality.
Viewings will be in Spanish and English.
The organization will do everything possible for each photographer to interview as many of their preferences from the list of viewers. The personal calendar of each photographer will be sent before the start of the viewing.

Award
From among all the works presented, the winner Discoveries 2021 will be chosen through an external jury. The winner will have an individual exhibition at the next edition of the Festival. The winner of the last edition is Marilene Ribeiro.
