Street photography has always existed. Its spirit allows us to know the life of the streets, the soul of the cities and the wandering of its people. As a genre, Street Photography was born at the beginning of the XNUMXth century with the appearance of the first handheld cameras, easier to use and that allowed more spontaneous shots in public places. Nowadays, anyone carries a quality camera on their mobile, which makes urban photography even more attractive and special.

#StreetPhotographyPHE is a call that seeks to unite citizens, street photography, El Corte Inglés and PHotoESPAÑA through collective participation through Instagram. Open to anyone of legal age, the call seeks images framed in the Street Photography genre that highlight some of the distinctive elements of El Corte Inglés in cities, such as its iconic bag, the facade of shopping centers or, even photographs inside the establishments that refer to urban culture.

Dates: From September 1 to 30, 2021

Participation: Through Instagram and the web form (it will be enabled below as of 01/09/21). Images will have to be registered 1 by 1.

How to participate:

  1. Have a public profile for the duration of the call
  2. Follow the accounts of @The English Court@ac_culturaenvivo y @photoespana_
  3. Upload the photos to your Instagram profile with the hashtag #StreetPhotographyPHE and mention the accounts of  @The English Court@ac_culturaenvivo y @photoespana_
  4. Register your participation through the form on the PHotoESPAÑA website, which you can find at the end of this page

The best images registered will be selected weekly to be part of the virtual gallery which can be seen at www.phe.es. From among all the images received, at the end of the contest, a professional jury will select 10 finalist photos among which the 3 winning photos who will receive an award from € 300 each en forma de El Corte Inglés gift card. The 10 finalists will have a Special mention on the Festival website, as well as on social networks and in the communication channels of El Corte Inglés.
