Discover the books selected in the call for the Best Photography Book of the Year, an award that PHotoESPAÑA awards each year with the intention of recognizing the effort that the publishing industry makes each year for the dissemination of photography.
The chosen books can be visited at the exhibition The best photography books of the year that will host PHotoESPAÑA Gallery from May 31 to August 30, 2021. A total of 58 titles in the national, international and self-published categories, among which we find the work of authors such as Joan Fontcuberta, Jon Cazeneve, Estela de Castro, Gloria Oyarzabal or Boris Mikhailov.
This year's jury is made up of Elvira Dyangani Ose, director of The Showroom and guest curator of PHotoESPAÑA 2021, Erik Vroons, editor and independent curator and Begoña Torres, director of the Lázaro Galdiano Foundation. These professionals will select the winners who will be announced on June 16 at the PHotoESPAÑA Awards Ceremony. It will also award the Outstanding Publisher of the Year Award.
