Carlos Edistio Miragaya Pitera has been awarded the first prize of the photographic contest #TheCitySeMueve, organized by the Canal Foundation and PHotoESPAÑA, with an economic endowment of 1.000 euros. In addition, the jury of the contest has also distinguished with two second prizes, of an endowment of 500 euros each, to Jose Asensio Villaescusa y Natalia Garcés Fernandez. In the contest, which invited to share the images in the contest through Instagram, 3.424 photographs were registered through the web form and more than 7.200 shared with the hashtag through the social network.
With the title #LaCiudadSeMueve, this year's edition encouraged portraying the recovery of activity and urban rhythm after the end of the state of alarm, through photographs that convey the life and movement of the city. Included in the public activities section of PHE21, Fundación Canal and PHotoESPAÑA organized this photographic contest with the aim of encouraging photographic creativity. From among all the photographs registered through the web form, the Festival organization selected 98 that became part of the virtual gallery of the contest.
The jury has been composed of Claude bussac, Director of PHotoESPAÑA, Cristian Ruiz Orfila, Deputy Director of the Canal Foundation and Anne Morin, director of diChroma Photography. In the selection of the images, the originality, the suitability to the theme of the call, the treatment of the images and the use of the different photographic resources have been valued.
