PHotoESPAÑA with the support of the Spanish Cultural Action (AC / E), through PICE visitors, offers this activity so that the public can enjoy even more the Festival's programming and can discover more information about the development of an exhibition proposal, its artists, the responsibility of the collection and the approach to the theme and discourse of the exhibition.
Therefore, we open this registration so that those interested can sign up for free. The activity will take place on close 22 August for a small group of Max 15 people, due to covid restrictions, with an approximate duration of 60 minutes and It will be done in English.
Sophie-Charlotte Opitz is a curator and transdisciplinary scholar of media, arts and cultures. He graduated from the Goethe-University Frankfurt in art history, art education and philosophy in 2013. He has a PhD in visual culture studies and wrote a thesis on the production processes of contemporary war and conflict photography.
Within her research, she is especially interested in the dynamics of memory related to the media, collective memory and the politics of (in) visibility. Opitz speaks, teaches, and publishes in the field of media theory, cultural memory studies, and arts education.
Currently, she is the Director of Exhibitions and Collection for The Walther Collection.
