Right now more than ever, Carma Casulá is sure of the importance of a place, not only because of what it is in its inner space but also because the way it is outside and the connection between both parts: what you can see and what surrounds it.
With her base camp in Madrid, after the declaration of the state of alarm and experiencing stampede shopping in an apocalyptic atmosphere, the photographer began to capture the two views from her balcony every day between 11:30 am and 12 noon. TIMEs is comprised of a series of diptychs, opening with 14.03 Saturday # 01 and among the possible ones closing with 13.05 Wednesday # 6, in which we can see the changes in the atmosphere; in the light and colour; in the weather; and in plant, human and social time—now historical—which marked the course of this complex period. Her pictures show us how the days get longer, nature regenerates, and leaves grow, providing green and privacy.
