Portfolio viewing in Equatorial Guinea

Transatlantic It was born in 2008 as a photography and visual arts forum that has brought together photographers, researchers, critics and art curators to participate in a portfolio review in different countries.

So far, it has organized activities in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Spain, the United States, Guatemala, the Philippines, Honduras, Morocco, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, Senegal and Venezuela. , among others.

The country chosen to celebrate the professional program is Equatorial Guinea. 

PHotoESPAÑA and the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) through the Cultural Centers of Spain in Malabo and Bata organize a portfolio review and a training program, which will allow a group of previously selected photographers to show their work to prominent industry agents.

During the meeting, which will be held in Bata and Malabo Between the days November 28 and December 3, each participant will receive individualized advice on their project and will be able to expand their professional network of contacts.

If you have a photographic series or project and you want national and international experts to see it, submit your application before November 20. If selected, you will have four individual appointments of 20 minutes with each of the professionals to receive advice on editing, content and other aspects to develop your work. In addition, those selected will previously participate in a training session given by María Pallás, general coordinator of PHotoESPAÑA, on the keys to organizing a portfolio and presenting a project in public.

Once the portfolio viewing is over, two photographers (one per venue) will be selected to participate. no cost of registration in PHE discoveries, the professional meeting for photographers that PHotoESPAÑA organizes in each of its editions and that offers selected authors the possibility of sharing their project with a community of creators and showing their photographs to curators and editors. The next edition of Discoveries will be held in Madrid in June 2023.
